Workplace Productivity Index

Welcome to the Workplace Productivity Index (WPI) the world's largest and most comprehensive survey of the working environment of knowledge, or white collar, workers.

We need to re-calibrate the WPI format for presentation on this website - the electronic environment is very different from the paper one!  The WPI is being updated and revised so that it is as user-friendly as we can make it. Please bear with us while this happens. In the meantime, read on to find out more about it ........

The WPI has been testing knowledge worker's attitudes to the range of issues affecting their workplaces since 1994, at first on an individual national basis in 23 European, American and Asia Pacific countries. Since 2005, however, the survey has been internationalised, and the results now represent the only global view of working intentions and attitudes.

By completing the WPI, you will be contributing to our understanding of the things which affect knowledge workers and their outcomes, from basic things such as the impact which interruptive practices in the workplace has on individuals and their teams, through to the use of technologies old and emerging, to how white collar workers feel about their working hours.

The results of the WPI appear in the National Media in July and January each year.
