In Government, managers and their people are always looking for an edge. Most workers have great job knowledge and a terrific work ethic. PEP provides the work processes and discipline which gives effect to those attributes. PEP is the edge!
The Personal Efficiency Program has been used extensively by Government departments and agencies across Australia and New Zealand. In Australia, for instance, every major Commonwealth body has used PEP to one degree or other, or has a PEP "graduate" at senior management level.
In Canberra, PEP first came to prominence in 1997. The Secretary of the Department of Transport and Regional Services commissioned us to assist his Senior Executive and Executive Level staff with the challenges caused by the major restructure of the Department after the December 1996 change of Government. The Department was required to shed more than half its staff, and Dr Hawke was keen to underpin his investing in people initiatives with programs which made a positive contribution to the increased efforts required of his staff.
In Defence, PEP has been on the Defence Renewal Standing Offer panel for over four years. In that time, many hundreds of Defence people, uniformed and civilian, have found the simple but powerful PEP principles to be of real and long-lasting benefit.
PEP is available to Federal, State, local and regional government staff in each capital city in Australia and New Zealand.
